We’re looking for a Solutions Architect Team Lead to manage, recruit, and mentor our Israeli and CEE Solutions Architects, as well as provide core services and also to provide technical pre-sales guidance to Automat-it customers while building long-term relationships, identifying pain points, and addressing them.
📍 Work location: hybrid from Tel-Aviv.

Key Responsibilities
- Meet with customers, understand their business challenges, and design AWS solutions that address them, covering architecture, cost-efficiency, scalability, and security through Statements of Work (SOW)
- Manage and mentor a team of Solutions Architects, including mentorship, professional team growth, recruiting and interviewing, and supporting the broader department's team expansion efforts.
- Analyze existing customer AWS architectures and propose improvement roadmaps
- Collaborate cross-team with different departments to ensure solutions are designed according to AWS best practices
- Build thought leadership in the cloud community by contributing to blogs, workshops, webinars, conferences, and more, representing Automat-it as a trusted voice in the ecosystem
- Travel both locally (to meet with customers, partners, and attend local events) and abroad (at least once a quarter)
- Build a strong relationship with the AWS Startup SA community
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in an AWS environment, designing solutions end-to-end
- 2+ years of experience in a technical customer-facing role such as Solutions Architect, Cloud Architect, Solutions Engineer, Customer Engineer, Presales Engineer, SRE, or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in managing a team of Cloud Architects (or similar) in a global tech company
- In-depth knowledge of AWS's main services, with an emphasis on Kubernetes and Containers
- Experience designing infrastructure for high-scale production environments in AWS
- Certified AWS Solutions Architect – Associate
- Ability to effectively communicate technical design in verbal and written formats in front of customers
- Ability to lead an end-to-end engagement with the account management team
- Proven track record of leading and developing diverse, high-performing teams
- Exceptional communication in Hebrew and English, and excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
- Experience in an IT environment with hands-on in Kubernetes, CI/CD, and DevOps tools
- Familiarity or expertise with DevOps and CI/CD practices
- Experience in a production environment developing software with Python, Go, Java, or equivalents
- AWS Solutions Architect Professional or a speciality certification
What Success Looks Like in Year One
- Managing and growing a team of Solutions Architects across Israel and CEE, with clear mentorship
- Customers consistently receive well-structured AWS architectures (SOWs, HLDs) that are scalable, cost-efficient, and production-ready
- Pre-sales support is a recognised strength, with direct impact on pipeline quality alongside the account management team
- You have represented Automat-it externally in at least one workshop, webinar, or conference, adding visibility to the brand
- Built and nurtured strong relationships within the AWS community, including their startup teams and leadership, establishing yourself as a trusted member
