We’re looking for a Solutions Architect Team Lead to manage, recruit, and mentor our Israeli and CEE Solutions Architects, as well as provide core services and also to provide technical pre-sales guidance to Automat-it customers while building long-term relationships, identifying pain points, and addressing them.
📍 Work location - hybrid from Tel-Aviv
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement solutions that meet business requirements and deliver cost-efficient, highly available, and scalable solutions for customers, including SoWs.
- Research and analyze current solutions and initiate improvement plans.
- Develop and adjust vertical-specific solutions for the local and global markets.
- Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure solutions are designed and developed according to best practices.
- Share your knowledge with our customers and the cloud community by participating in public speaking engagements, including workshops, conferences, webinars, and more.
- Build a strong relationship with the AWS Startup SA community.
- Commitment to regular business travel locally and abroad, including frequent visits to the AWS offices in the CEE territory at least once a quarter
- Manage and mentor a team of Solutions Architects, including mentorship, professional team growth, recruiting and interviewing, and supporting the broader department's team expansion efforts.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in an AWS environment, including implementation, migration, and maintenance, designing solutions end-to-end
- 2+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles, such as Customer Engineering, SRE, Cloud Architect, or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in managing a team of Cloud Architects (or similar) in a global tech company
- 1+ years of work experience in a Professional Services/Consulting company
- Extended experience in an IT environment, including hands-on experience in Kubernetes, CI/CD, and DevOps tools
- Proven experience in a production environment
- In-depth knowledge of AWS's main services, with an emphasis on Kubernetes, Databases, and Data services
- Successfully designed DevOps and Infrastructure for high-scale production environments in AWS
- Understanding of Information Security best practices
- Certified AWS Solutions Architect Associate. AWS Solutions Architect Professional or a specialty certification is an advantage
- Ability to effectively communicate technical design in verbal and written formats in front of customers (SOW, LOE, HLD)
- Ability to lead an end-to-end engagement with the account management team
- Proven track record of leading and developing diverse, high-performing teams
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills
- Exceptional communication in Hebrew and English, and excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire
- Experience managing budgets, project timelines, and resources effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
